Annual Proceedings

These are published mid-year and are distributed free to members. They are substantial volumes containing academic articles of a high standard relating to Devon’s archaeology covering excavation reports, accounts of field surveys, standing building and artefacts and general discursive articles, with a chronological range from Palaeolithic to post-medieval.   Back numbers of most volumes of the Proceedings may be purchased from the Publications Officer. Offprints of many individual articles are also available but no longer in Printed format.

A newsletter, which is published in January, May and September each year. This brings members news of the latest archaeological events around the county and of future Society activities.

An occasional series, Devon Archaeology, consisting of short, informative articles about various aspects of Devon’s past.

Field Guides to sites of archaeological interest around the County, which are not otherwise provided with a guide.

Copies of the Society’s publications are available for sale at the AGM or can be ordered by post or e-mail from the Publications Officer on the order form. Postage and packing will be charged in addition to the cost of the item.
